The 3rd Annual Hawaii Volleyball Combine!

                                         January 21-22, 2012

Aloha!  The 3rd Annual Hawaii Volleyball Combine was a success with offers made and many players getting interest.  It was held on January 21 - 22, 2012 at the Manoa Valley District Park Gymnasium.   This is the only  volleyball recruiting showcase in Hawaii.  Last year, we were featured in Volleyball Magazine's April Edition.   Our first year we had 21 top colleges attending the combine.  In 2011 we had 14 top colleges attending.  For 2012, we had 24 colleges attending, including DI, DII, DII and NAIA colleges!   Click on the "Committed Schools" link in the left column to see the colleges coming this year.    

When & Where: The 3rd Annual Hawaii Volleyball Combine was held Saturday-Sunday, January 21-22, 2012 at the Manoa Valley District Park Gymnasium.   This Recruiting Combine was limited to elite volleyball players graduating between 2012 & 2015.   

Who is Eligible:   High School girls volleyball players graduating between 2012 and 2015, regardless of club affiliation.  This is a great opportunity for those players who would normally have limited exposure to mainland college coaches because their teams may not travel to the mainland to play in National Qualifiers or whose teams may not qualify for the USAV National Championships or AAU Championships.  This is also a great opportunity for club players to play in front of a captive audience of college coaches.  Each year, we have players from every Hawaiian Island and from the mainland.     

The Cost:  The Combine enables players to be scounted by top mainland college coaches right here in Honolulu for just $175.00 as opposed to incurring costly travel expenses such as airfare and hotel expenses and not knowing what college coaches, if any, will come to see your team play.  At the Combine, players have a captive audience of top coaches from across the country.

What You Get:  Players are showcased right here in Hawaii before top Division I, II, III and NAIA volleyball coaches from across the United States.  The coaches are traveling here to Hawaii to scout Hawaii players who are known to be very athletic!  Each player will have the opportunity to show their skills to these top coaches.  Each  players will receive a Hawaii Volleyball Combine T-shirt with a unique number.   Each coach will have your volleyball resume that you fill out when you register.  This is how the coaches will know who you are when they watch you play at the combine.  You will also receive your certified combine test scores which you can use to report to colleges that you hope to play for.  The coaches will also be able to pull your scores at the combine.   Do not miss this rare opportunity!  

Sign Up:  The demand is high and spots will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis and we are limiting the number of players for each position!  Please understand that we must limit the number of players per position so that all players have maximum playing time during the drills and during the tournament.   When registering, please make sure you include the telephone numbers and email addresses for your coaches.   Please sign up below or from the main menu.    

 ***NOTE***:  EVERY YEAR WE HAVE MANY MORE APPLICANTS THAN AVAILABLE SPOTS AND THOSE THAT PROCRASTINATED WERE LEFT OUT.   DO NOT MISS OUT THIS YEAR!   WE EXPECT TO SELL OUT QUICKLY GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF INQUIRIES WE ARE GETTING THIS YEAR.   

What to Wear:  Players attending the Combine must wear volleyball shoes and kneepads and supply their own water, beverage and lunch.   Each player will receive a Hawaii Volleyball Combine T-Shirt with a unique number so that the college coaches can match you up with your volleyball resume as they observe you playing at the combine.  Players must wear this shirt at all times during the combine.  No other T-Shirts or uniforms may be worn at the combine.

Concession Stands:  There will be food, drink and other concessions.

College Coaches:  If you attended the 2010, 2011 or 2012 Hawaii Volleyball Combines, we will be contacting you regarding the 2013 Hawaii Volleyball Combine.  Please plan on a Fun Mixer in Waikiki on Friday Night, the Combine on Saturday and a Tournament on Sunday.  If you would like to attend the 2013 Hawaii Volleyball Combine, please contact us at asicsrainbows@aol.com.   

Video Recording:  Video recording with video cameras and cell phones will be strictly prohibited at the combine.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION:  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!    When registering, be prepared to fill-out a volleyball  resume questionnaire that the coaches will use in evaluating your playing experience.   Please note that based on the large amount of inquiries that we are having for the combine, we reserve the right to turn away some players to maintain a high level of recruits at the combine.  If you are turned away, you will be provided with a 100% refund.   Last year we did not turn away anyone, and hope that we will not have to do so this year.
